• Orthodontic treatment using braces 

This is a widely popular method to get your teeth straightened. Composed of stainless steel brackets that are affixed to the teeth and wires made with metal alloys that run through slots in the brackets, traditional braces have been around for centuries. The wires are attached to the brackets using ligatures or o-rings (small rubber bands). Like all teeth straightening procedures, these brackets and wires gently push the teeth and move them to place. 

• Straight teeth with clear aligners 

Clear aligners are a removable and a nearly invisible alternative to traditional braces.  They have been gaining immense popularity as they provide a discreet orthodontic treatment. They are custom-made to fit your teeth and move them little-by-little to give you the desired result. If you are using OrthoFX clear aligners, you need to change them approximately every 7 days. You can remove them to eat, drink and brush, however, the patient needs to wear them at least 22 hours a day. Clear aligners work very well for mild to moderate teeth issues and your orthodontist would be able to tell you if you are a suitable candidate for clear aligners. 

• Arch Wires for aligning teeth

There are two types of arch wires – round and rectangular. These wires fit into the bracket slots and move your teeth according to your requirement. Round archwires as the name suggests are round and often used in the earlier stages of the treatment to align and level teeth. The rectangular archwires are used in the later stages to control and refine teeth movement. 

• Clear retainers for discreet treatment
  

They are usually removable, clear, thin and slightly flexible. Made with a plastic-like material, clear retainers as designed as per the shape and size of your teeth structure. The retainers help to retain the position of the teeth once the treatment is completed.
